X-Box and PS3 opinions

You can't forget that the graphics of Gears are of course going to be more advanced than Resistance. Gears and many other titles from both consoles runs on the Unreal Engine. Unreal has been known to display phenomenal graphics. Beaten only by the In-house engine and the Deferred Rendering engine. Now, the PS3 and the X-Box 360 have their strengths and weaknesses but you have to admit that the majority will of course go for the X-Box 360 because they're geeks who believe they are awesome and live with their mothers even at the age of thirty. You ever notice how almost forty percent of X-Box owners are foul-mouthed kids? No, I'm just kidding. The reason is because of the variety it has and the amount of exclusives.

The PS3 is seen by some (a large amount) as a home entertainment system. While that may be true, its true design was to give gamers and movie viewers alike a great experience. Personally I feel it and am not disapointed. The only thing I regret is having to witness people bashing both the 360 and the PS3. They're both great products of gaming, so why can't people just accept that no system is better than the other? I would answer but I would only contradict myself.

Sony is starting to come out with their own products that will definately make a difference on how people their PS3s. I will still stay with my PS3. I see it better to not pay for online than otherwise. Plus, the new exclusives are too much to pass up as many of you may know. Either way, I still think the 360 is at the top of its game.

The Wii is by far the worst of all 3 obviously. It is good and fun for the first few months and then it just is kinda boring. Hopefully the new attachment it has will boost my opinion of it.

PS3 is great! Don't knock it till you try it. Any game that I've played for BOTH systems, always seems to not only look better, but play better as well. That includes 2K9, COD, GTA4, and a few others. Blue Ray is just one of the awesome things about PS3. And don't knock the games, there are many great games on the way. Infamous....is solely ours. And Infamous, is great. We've got Final Fantasy coming out and a few other games as well. 360's Metal Gear is not gonna be nearly as good as PS3's. I betcha.

dude ps3 sucks i had one and got rid of it in one week. plus final fantasy is coming out for the 360 as well, also the controller for the 360 is much more comfortable. on top of that do you know how much ps3 stole from Microsoft and Nintendo?

motion sensor games and the guide button in the middle to name a few. on top of that the 360 has games coming out for it that were originally only planned for the ps3. know why? because the developers will make more money making a game for the 360 than on the ps3. plus both COD and gta 4 had exclusive content coming out for the 360 only. you won't see it until a couple months later. Microsoft customer support is also 20 times better than the ps support. but hey like i have said to people before we all have our opinions.

OH I almost forgot. before any of you ps3 lovers play the i don't have to pay for online card, I can explain why we do. We pay for our online service because it is the best out there, unlike the wii we don't have a bar code as our name and we don't lag like the ps3 connection does. we also didn't have to dish out $100 dollars for a blue tooth headset when it first came out which, correct me if I am wrong but at the time was the only one compatible with the system. by the time developers discover the ps3's potential it will be too late. either Microsoft will have a new system out or Sony will not have enough money to keep the ps3 floating.

Yet, the 360 cannot hold nearly as much on one disc as the 360 can. The PS3 version shall look and be better.
The 360 controller is a freakin BRICK! It's huge. That's not comfortable at all!
It's called competiton. Get over it.
All systems stole that from the Eye Toy.
Yet notice how ppl still prefer it for the PS3?
Possibly because they've had so much training. The 360 always breaks down!

1. what do developers need the extra space you talk about when the cost of making a game for ps3 is much higher than the cost of making one for the 360 or even wii.

2. wrong. 360 controllers are great and at least we don't have to buy a whole other new remodeled controller with rumble feature.

4. more people prefer both of those games on the 360 because the lag is less and there are more people playing those two games online than there is on the ps3. know why? because ps3 has cheap online.

1. i guarantee it'll be better on PS3. We can bet on it.

2. right! 360 controllers are just too big, with the same amount of controls. My little brother has to mve his hands to get around the entire controller...that's saying something.

3. PS3 is losing because it has been slacking. It's taking too long to pick up the pace that everyone else is at. In due time Red. You even said it yourself, they just haven't realized the potential yet.

4. If you had online trouble with PS3, your online sucks. I've never had any lag on PS3....ever! I know nobody who does. Whereas I've seen your online, and while it is still great, you're still paying. I'd rather pay for great free online, then great payed online.

5. X-box solves problems because there are so many to solve. Whereas PS3's customer service phones are not ringing....

1. ok sure, if they ever finish it considering developers have a tougher time making games on the ps3 because it is too complex

2.all that's saying is that your little brother is just that....little.

3. ps3 had enough time to catch up. ps3 is not slacking they are having trouble staying afloat. more and more developers are rejecting the ps3 for the two reasons I have stated before. which means less money for sony. not to mention that the 360 still makes more yearly sales worldwide than ps3 does. does that tell YOU something?

4. I have a gaming dlink made for what I love, no lag for me. the ps3 just sucks when it comes to that. we pay because of all the features we get. netflix, music, themes, gamer pics, community games, private chats, party chats, etc,etc,etc.


5. xbox knows how to solve problems because they care about their clients not because the 360 has many problems. call sony up you will see what I mean.

6. on a lighter not congrats and I can to.

I bet if you played a game online on the 360 you would be hooked. considering the 360 has a huge selection of online compatable games like rsv2 and 1, madden series, farcry, and much more. not to mention the exclusive online games we have like halo 3, gears 1 and 2 (don't lie if it came out on ps3 you would buy it)

actually, i've never really been into FPS. I never really got into any of the halo's or Gears, that's why i didn't state anything on that before. I have no input because i don't usually play them. I've tried them...i just don't like them. I have played a few online games on 360 tho. I never said that online games on 360 were bad. In fact, it's what keeps 360 on top if you ask me. What i'm saying is that PS3 just needs to develop its own online games and stop trying to copy. It does a good job when it DOES make its online games. LittleBigPlanet was a hit online! I heard that Killzone wasn't bad either. GTA 4 was fun as hell online too, but idk how it was on 360. Idk if 360 had an online feature. Thank you by the way for your congrats.

Basically, imo, it all boils down to this...EXCLUSIVES! Playstation and PS2 were great. Why? Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Crash Bandicoot. ....Noticing a pattern? These were ONLY for Playstation. Nintendo has Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, etc. And now, Microsoft has Master Chief, Gears of War, Fallout and incredible war games! We have to stick to what we're good at! Playstation should NOT have given Final Fantasy to X-Box because that was going for us too! Nor should it have given up Metal Gear! Snake is still ours though...that makes me happy. (You guys get happy Raiden =P) The one Ratchet and Clank game that came out for PS3...got 10's and 9's....again!

Just a small note from WAY earlier in this conversation.

Motion sensing started with Nintendo, the nintendo zapper and the power glove were the first steps into motion sensing tech.

Actually, when the 360 bogs down (say, three red lights), there's like 1 out of 3 chances that the call for help would actually land in one of the BPOs here in my country. I have peers who are assigned specifically to the X-box section, doing their call center stuff. I don't know about the free part, or if they charge you for making the darned call, but hey, whatever saves the console.


I don't fancy 360 personally, so I really don't bother much about it.



What's important is that I play the games I want to play, and that's it. It's just that the games I've been playing are more on the Playstation series, so I prefer to stick with it.
