Loss of Equilibrium

In the year 2018 the United States of America has finally won the war in Afghanistan and has officially taken control over the country. The U.S. government instills their own puppet government and oppressive PMC in Afghanistan to keep the country under the State's control.

At the same time, economic upset in Russia and South America causes much intensity between America and the other countries for control over oil and fossil fuel. Eventually China, Africa, Europe and many middle-eastern countries began to debate about the issue over ownership for oil and fossil fuel. In April of 2015, the United Nations gathered together to discuss the situation. Many options were given but the domineering Federation of Russia, and Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela refused to be given any amount less than what they had requested. The intensity soon heated up when massive bombings occured in every major city in the world. Millions of people were killed and many more were hospitalized.

For eight months, strains of loose information and false intel led the United States and other major countries searching for the ones responsible for the bombings. Evidence always pointed back to them but they denied the claims of involvement in the bombings. Each new set of information caused much uproar in the United Nations. Soon, the entire world, except the neutral countries, began to blame each other for the bombing and sought redemption for those who were lost. Arguments and accusations turned to threats, threats turned to invasion, invasion turned to war. World War III had begun.

The entire world was at war. Former allies were now enemies. What was originally a world of the people turned into a world of hell. Nuclear warheads were used indescriminately, bombings, massacres and many other horrific acts were seen and executed. The world burst into flames as the people begged for peace. However, the countries fell on deaf ears for their plight and began to fight on two fronts; one against their neighboring countries and one against the very people they served. More wars were sprung as civil wars began to surface.

Sixty-nine years later the war came to a sudden end after years of an ongoing stalemate and countless deaths. An alliance made up of the United Kingdom, Spain, Russia, France, Isreal, Australia and the remaining seven states of the United States created a one ruling country-made corporation, "Valde Regnum." Valde Regnum was a Sovereignty government and had complete control over everything; giving them the right to decide the actions of others. Any hint of rebellion is instantly crushed before it can be effectively brought to light. It had almost seemed as if this "world government" had control over the entire world. In 2087, the official name of these combined countries were called "the Sovereignty of Utopia." Walls of pure metal and concrete cornered every major S.U. country to prevent any outsiders from entering. Although, any that do gain permission to enter are stripped of their former memories and replaced with virtual ones manufactured by the S.U. Science Department. Each being longer than the great wall of China. The said country was obliterated during WWIII by the United Kingdom and Scotland joint task force.

The middle-east soon drew the attention of the Sovereignty of Utopia because of its location and resources, causing the S.U. to invade it and bring it under its control. Many countries soon followed including New Zealand, Japan, the caribbean islands and South America. The world was in control of the S.U.

Interestingly enough, the S.U. began to work on a project known as “Element.” The project was yet unfinished and needed time to work out the imperfections. Nearly three years later during the year 2090, the project was finally done. The purpose of the project was to enable humans to gain access to the legendary power of the elements. This myth was spurred by the Chinise many years ago and has become the main focus for the Science Department of the S.U.

Seventy people from random countries were picked. The experiment proved to be quite deadly and caused the death of those that did not have the specific gene they were compatible with. Only ten in fifty-million humans are compatible. The identity of the individuals were kept a secret from the public and even high-ranking officials of the S.U. government. Their roles and purpose are unknown. After an "accident" the government lost track of eight of their "Elementals." The other three are under government surveillance.

Because the nobles of the house of Anderson wanted entertainment for themselves and the people, they were given permission by the S.U. government to create a tournament. The tournament was called the "Ultimate Victor." The rules were simple. Win the tournament and your wish is granted. Anything is possible through the tournament because the Sovereignty of Utopia allows it. Only two-hundred participants are allowed.

There are ten locations on where the paricipants are taken in order to begin the tournament. In each one, there are only twenty people allowed. There, they fight for their chance at winning their desired prize. However, the winners are to kill their opponents or risk being disqualified and being killed themselves. Many have joined the plan to go all out on their opponents for the sole purpose of inflicting pain. Many fight for glory, others fight for money to support their family or community, while a few fight for their freedom and others simply fight because they want to. Vast amounts of personalities are present in the tournaments and all are seen live all across the world. The greatest warriors in history will soon rise. Only ten will make it out.

Available Elements and their function

Wood- uses the Earth's resources to the user's benefit. For example, if the Elemental is injured then the Elemental can absorb the sun's ultra violet rays to heal his/her body. The process is slow and takes time to finally be restored full strength. The Elemental can create wood from his/her body or from the Earth itself. It is known that the one who wields control over this element can literally summon wood from the ground. The wood from the elemental can sap an oponnents energy and transfer it to the Elemental.

Fire- this element is known for its destructive power. The fire from an Elemental burns eternallly unless the Elemental wishes otherwise. The fire element enables the Elemental to be immune from attacks. This can go from being impaled, shot, or hit with a blunt weapon. In a way, the Elemental becomes the element. The known user of this element is said to be able to generate immense amounts of heat comparable to that of a nuclear warhead and fly short distances. The current form the Elemental's flame took was of pure black energy.

Earth- the Earth element uses the solid material of the ground. Boulders and rocks can be controlled almost telepathically and can in some cases bend metal because of the raw Earth materials found. The known user of this element is said to create massive earthquakes. A unique note would be the ability to literally break the air as if it were glass and create intense levels of shockwaves. The Earth element also allowed the Elemental to see every fracture that can be found on anyone and anything.

Metal- the element allows the Elemental to control every source of alloy. The Elemental has utter and complete control over metal. The Elemental generates a field of magnetism and can repel anything that has the properties of metal away. The known user is said to be able to somehow use the iron in a human as a bomb.

Water- this element enables the Elemental to control water. The known Elemental generated a tsunami that flooded a small city and then receded. Water that is controlled by the Elemental can be pressurized. The pressurized water is strong enough to smash the bones of an average human. The Elemental can also control the water inside of a human and control them like puppets. The known Elemental is almost the same as the Fire Elemental with the ability of being immune to attacks.

Ice- the Known Elemental can control the water molecules in both water and the air to generate ice. The Elemental can also summon ice all over his/her body and create clones. The Elemental can freeze anything upon having contact with it. The ice of an Elemental is unique because of its ability to freeze a victim alive. The Elemental is immune to attacks to some extent. Any vital organs that are hit could be severe.

Air- the Elemental can control the air around him/her. The Elemental can fire concussive blasts of air that can shatter bone and blow away skin. The known Elemental creates tornadoes and hurricanes that cause immense amounts of damage. The air controlled by an Elemental is powerful enough to smash through steel and render an entire city to rubble.

Electricity- this element is dangerous and destructive. Lightning storms and arcs of lightning can be generated at will and literally cause a reaction in an organic body to explode. The known Elemental can restart his/her heart is it stops. He/she can also fire blasts of electricity that takes the form of a beam and destroy many structures. If the known Elemental gains enough skill, he/she may be able to create EMP blasts and sonic booms.

Void- the element is a rather strange one. The known Elemental is known to be able to be able to read the movements of future events and read the energy of the world. By far its most powerful trait is the ability to use the power of darkness. The darkness used by the Elemental can repel or draw anything towards him/her. The Elemental can also use gravity to his/her advantage. An unknown ability of the Elemental is being able to blast a strange invisible force and render a living organism to bones.

Decompisition- the element of pure destruction. This elements can destroy the fabric of existence in some form. The extent on how far the destruction goes is unknown. Anything the Elemental touches is rendered to nothing but dust. The known Elemental has shown the ability to survive massive amounts of damage and "despose" of damaged body parts or limbs and replace them with new ones.

Age: 25
Martial Art: Krav Maga - Atemi - Iaido (A type of sword fighting that teaches the person to use both the blade and the scabbard)
Element: Electricity

Background: Kyle worked for the S.U military and when he discovered his Element he was turned on by his fellow soldiers and was forced to run. Under the influence that someone made him the way he was, he hunted down several government officials that knew about his kind and killed to get close to them. He confronted them one after another and every time he was led to more questions and "locked doors".

It wasn't until he found a women called Brittney that he discovered what he really was. The women took him to a place where more of his kind were hiding and he finally got answers. Unfortunately the answers didn't have much time to sink in, the hideout was then attacked by S.U soldiers and he saw his kind slaughtered in a firefight.

Kyle and Brittney then spent 6months putting together a plan and tracking down the people who were hiding the truth about their kind and tried to kill them. But the plans were soon put on hold when Kyle was captured by government agents and is being held, waiting for "The Tournament" to begin.

Name: Cole

Element: Decompisition

After accidentally killing several people, Cole fled from his home city with S.U soldiers not far behind. He was pursued across the country but eventually he found a place where people like him could hide...
But he wasn't careful enough and the S.U tracked him down and either captured or slaughtered most of them although some escaped.

Cole was spared and is currently in government custody waiting to participate in the Tournament. He learned most of what his element can do on the run and can handle himself against most other elementals.

Okay people, good news. I have taken my break from LE and will continue it. These past few days I have been creating rough drafts for possible endings and possible spin-offs.

Background: Arkum is a former Black Ops Operative who is now on the run from the very government he fought to protect. During his last mission to take down a Rebel Insurrectionist who was rallying troops to launch a civil war against the S.U., he was set up and attacked by two of his team mates due to his ability. But fortunately his ability is what saved his life from the brutal betrayal. Now, alone and on the run, Arkum must make his way home to his family and avoid being killed by the S.U. But unfortunately they have other ideas for him
