Hawken is a multiplayer mech combat game. The focus is on creating an intense and enjoyable battle experience that captures the feeling of piloting a heavy war machine while keeping the action fast-paced and strategic.
I've already made a forum account. Its still in alpha I believe but I can't wait to test it in beta and will definitely give it a shot on its final launch.
What platform is it for?
This is unknown at this point. We are interested in bringing Hawken to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Announcements will be made when we know for sure.
How much will it cost?
We don’t know yet, but our plan is for Hawken to be a downloadable title that will have a relatively low cost compared to boxed games.
What engine are you using?
Hawken has been developed using UDK (the Unreal Engine) from Epic Games. http://www.udk.com/
When will it be released?
When it’s done. We won't release Hawken until we are completely satisfied with what we are delivering. Development is going well and we should have more announcements soon.
What game modes are supported?
We have two unique team game modes which will be the heart of Hawken, as well as team deathmatch and free-for-all deathmatch.
Will there be a single player campaign?
There are no plans for a single player campaign mode. Because of our team size and resources we are focusing on a multiplayer experience.
How many people are working on Hawken?
You can get a breakdown of our current team at http://www.adhesivegames.com/team.html. We started with 5 core members and currently have 9 people on the team, including 3 talented interns. We have outsourced some work such as the audio.
Supposedly theyre trying to make it accessible as possible for most comps. How much your comp can rack up the settings is what makes it looks so polished. If your comp isnt beast enough to take the brunt you could always get it for 360/PS3 which they are also trying to develop it for but its not finalized.
