| Basically if I was to upgrade my pc or laptop to play a game it would be more cost effective for me to buy either a PS 3 or X-Box 360. |

| Scientist followed by the Soldier. A hint for those playing Countdown to Extinction. Obviously the one who gets the bomb needs to get to the objective as quickly as possible whilst defending it. Now, I only have this single hint for those who use Soldiers. It's not much but it can help. If this has already been established then do forgive me for being late. Anyway, Soldiers have that spin move, correct? Well, I noticed that even when holding the bomb (this was a game I played with Horrid, which was approximately five minutes ago I believe?) the Soldier can still do this spin move. This gives you a few seconds of speed to get across the map before you are killed on the spot. Then again, another way on how to defend your base from annoying buggers is by using the Soldier and equiping its secondary weapon (the gatling gun) and rack up multiple kills. That's all I have. | |

| I play Scouts most frequently, followed by Scientists (Conquest only), both of which I have maxed out at level 25. Scouts are extremely specialized, so it's good to learn how to get in and get out quick before your crushed. Cloaking can help obviously with this.
I also feel dashing is extremely important as it augments one of the scouts most valuable combat assets, which is it's high rate of movement speed. With dash, it helps you avoid countless hits during your strafing pattern. Not to mention the sudden aerial direction changes you can make. Coupled with Rapid Recharge you can get in and out of tight sport and sticky situations with ease.
My setup for Scout is very basic. I default to the Scatter Blaster, as it's effectiveness after dropping cloak is extremely useful and I fall back on two weapons. The Null Ray and Energon Battle Pistol. The Null Ray is good to mow down a few enemies from a distance if an area is too overcrowded to enter, and the Energon Battle Pistol is excellent for mopping up would be escapees after Scatter Blaster ammo runs out. Not to mention it's a rather useful mid range easy headshot weapon.
Which setup I use exactly depends on the map and the opposition. I will typically switch up if I discover one particular method failing me.
For abilities, I use Dash and Cloaking. For my upgrades, I augment the cloak as much as possible using Surprise Attack and Dimensional Step. Health Matrix (which I recommend) is actually more effective, as the extra gained health bar per kill is more then useful in staying alive. I refrain from using it however, because I've found it makes the game a bit too easy and that dulls the experience.
I round off my third upgrade with Rapid Recharge. It's the last one that you can unlock but it's super effective. The much more frequent usage of Dashing and Cloaking to sneak in and augment damage (not to mention run away and hide more quickly, very useful if you've already decloaked into a bad situation or one that turned bad) is instrumental. Since it unlocks so late in level progression, I'd recommend using Weapon Stabilizer until then to reduce Scatter Blaster kickback.
I find that the other two Scout Abilities useless in game aside from the extra xp gained from completing challenges. But even still, no where near as good as Dash and Cloak. Mark Target can be nice though to augment damage. Especially good when targeting someone with a Null Ray. But combat in WFC is so hectic and fast, that you'll probably wind up wasting time pressing the button or end up shooting someone else because you had too over your mark.
Other then that, there's little advice I can give as it all rests on your own personal skill level, intelligence and hand-eye coordination.

| I'd have to say the Leader is the easiest to use, especially when it comes to the Countdown to Extinction. They have a large amount of energy to begin with, and they're a bit faster than both the soldier and the scientist, so they can get to their destinations quicker. I keep the warcry equiped as well as the molecular bomb. There's an ability you gain around level 18, called ion booster. It speeds up you and your allys as soon as the molecular bomb is dropped. What I like to do, whether its to help my team, or myself, is get to the bomb....drop the molecular bomb immediately, thus speeding us up, and playing soccer with it, basically. Just keep the bomb in front of you at all times, and you should be able to reach the base quickly before it explodes. It'll start to flash before it explodes, thats when you know that you need to get out of there. The warcry is also very helpful since it boost your attack and defense. So you can survive about 3 melee hits, (depending on whats hitting you, maybe more) instead of just 2 now, and on certain bots such as, the scientist, one melee hit will do the trick. I keep the fusion cannon and ion blaster equipped for certain situations. If I'm gonna come in contact with a scout or scientist, i'll use the fusion cannon, being that they can move rapidly. The fusion cannon does not require precision aim, although it IS better to hit directly, of course. The impact from the blast will still cause damage however. The ion blaster is better against soldiers and other leaders, combined with a well placed mine. For my 3 abilities, I use the ion boosters, (as i mentioned) the extra grenade (mine in this instance) and i cant recall the other one atm. What I love so much about the leaders, is that all their killstreak abilities are awesome. 3 kills gains you "Intercooler" which rapidly recharges your side ability usage. 5 kills is "Poke 2.0" which gives you an electrified blade, that causes instant kills with a melee attack. 7 kills is "Thermo Mine Respawner" which gives you 20+ mines that drop at a steady rate behind you as you run. AWESOME for countdown to extinction or Team Deathmatch. Just plant them in the enemies base, and watch the kills rack up. | |

| Ah, horridwing you reminded me. How could I forget about the kill streaks?
The Scout's 3-kill streak reward is Orbital Beacon. Which I'd activate as soon as you earn it to ensure your allies know where your enemies are at all times. It's nice to know where everyone is, so you don't get caught by a would be cloaker, or someone under a disguise. Not to mention it prevents someone sneaking up on you so you should always have opening shot advantage.
The second, the 5-kill reward is Health Regeneration. Be strategic with this. Don't activate it right away if you are in the clear. Instead, wait until you are about to enter a firefight, otherwise you may waste most of it just running around the map, searching out targets.
The final 7-kill reward is Orbital Beacon 2.0. A much shorter lasting Orbital beacon, but a more crippling one. Basically, it EMPs all enemies, stunning them and slowing them down and leaving them without a HUD. It also reveals their locations and hits them all with Mark Target, so they are prone to taking even more damage.
This is another reward I'd wait for the perfect timing on. Make sure you team has a tactical advantage with enemies in line of sight and accounted for, then activate it. When executed properly, you can be instrumental in wiping out the opposing team with ease.
