Chapter 8: Counter Strike.

Frost and Xavier were happy to see that John was alive and well but were confused how he seemed to be unharmed after he was clearly shot by Kyle in the surveillance video.

John I really don’t understand how you seem unharmed after Kyle shot you, then fell off a cliff.

Let’s go to my house, I will tell you both the details there.

The three return to John’s house and they settle in, I run my hand through my hair and look at them both. I then explain to them my past and the secret operations I have been involved with. I then get up and ask them to follow me. I then stop at the fireplace and press a stone the fireplace raises up and a doorway is revealed, beyond the door is a stairwell leading down under the house. We all walk into the stairwell I press a few numbers on a keypad on the wall, the door lowers and all the doors and windows in the house lock simultaneously. As we ascend the stairs, Frost is curious where I am leading him and when they reach the bottom of the stairs there is a large open room. They walk in and I flick on the light, both Frost and Xavier walk in to see a underground command center loaded with equipment and weapons. I let out a chuckle and look at them both, they look like two kids on Christmas morning.

Gentlemen, this silent war is going to heat up. Kyle is working for an unknown party that is hell bent on starting a war between humanity and the Diclonious. Not only that, they are going to frame INGEN, well that is my best guess.

Hmm I see John, so what can we do?

Well we have to capture one of the troops and question him/her. That is why you and Xavier are going to act like nothing has changed and I am still missing.

Yeah but how do you know you were not followed?

Trust me, no one can follow me.

Anyway, how ill you find out who is attacking the Diclonious? I mean they know your face.

I turn on a light above a large glass case. Inside is a suit of black armor. I turn to them and wink.

Yeah this is highly classified, so don’t go blabbing. (Laughs afterwards) Oh and I will get out of here by a tunnel that leads to the surface. Now lets get ready, tomorrow I will start my patrol of the town.

With that we prepare for our plan, it’s time for us to strike back or all will be lost.
