The movie is being made, they shut it down early last year but have started it up again. I don't know who told you they shut it down because it was going over the $2million mark but that wasn't the reason why they shut it down. I guess Peter Jackson is still making it right? Well when he made the Lord Of The Rings trilogy it went way past $200million and that project was in risk of being shut down for several other reasons.
