i heard that for the movie transformers the second one, that starscream DID make a new allspark.

That's the plot of Reign of Starscream. I have the comic book.

Knowing Gen (his style of writing), though, he'd make a nice alternate story from it.

Thats correct Darkfather. In fact the fake "poster" is a cover for Reign of Starscream. You can call Battle of Cybertron an Alternate Reality based on Reign of Starscream.

Sounds pretty interesting.

UPDATE: Instead of a long story, The Battle of Cybertron will be an ongoing series. It will mostly be episodic, but every story will combine into a bigger universe. Think: World War II broadcast. I'd also like to throw in a lot of character development.
