I am seriously going to look at joining this. If I get it to work, I accept your invitation Darkfather. It would be nice to actually put aside our TF differeneces and play a game that we play together as friends.

I believe there is a provision for paladins there. However, I think the role of knight (and the higher tier, the lord knight) would appeal more to your taste. They're mounted fighters and they zip across the screen... they're that fast.

BTW, to those who'd play Ragnarok Online -Rebirth and team up,

our server is called Loki.

It will take me a while to download. I have 22 hrs remaining on the download and that is with 2% completed.

Lol... I'm downloading a patch for it too, it's about the same speed. We'll see each other there this week.

Since you have the chance to make 9 characters in your account:

Make your first one a merchant or a blacksmith (like mine). ---> This will help you avoid absolute poverty. We'll teach you the details when you get there.

Everyone starts off as a novice class (that's a base class). You can improve skills as you progress in levels.

Try to go to the forums on rebirthro.com for the specs of the Mage, so you can plan ahead and not waste time.

We're in server Loki. The activity is more diverse there, as I've heard.

In case you want to join our cell,

In the lower right corner of the screen, there are two textboxes. (See sample reference below)



You can PM anyone anywhere in the game, as long as you type their name (in correct case) in the corner textbox (the one overlapped by the date). Beside it would be the general chat box itself. If you don't type a name on the 1st box, your message would be broadcasted for everyone close to you within the map to read.

We'll all rank faster when we move as a single unit.

In case you're alone, stick to the areas next to the town. The farther you move away, the tougher the monsters are. Since you want to be a mage, invest in Agility first and alternate it with your Intelligence evenly (Alt +A to see the ability box). Agility influences AC so that you get hit less often and Intelligence dictates what spells you can cast and how huge the damage could possibly be.


I give you the same suggestion as Mags, however. Go for merchant first and gain financial freedom in the game.

Remember to pick up every loot you can find and KEEP IT. You'll be selling everything except the pots (potions and food items that heal you) and rare game cards (which you use to enhance your items).

Invest in the basic skills too (Alt+S) and rank the one that increases your weight limit and the core skills (bartering, emoticons, etc) ---- you'll need it for bigger skills.

A lot of people would try to recruit you too for guilds. Generally, it would be ultimately your choice if you would join them. You can only be in one guild at a time, and since behind every human sprite there are real people (from different cultures, like BFTA), they may not take kindly to people who leave groups for no reason.

This is the only game.It must be a firewall of some sort.

I am really pissed off!!!!! I got Rebirth RO to download, but it would not install claiming that the file is either incomplete or corrupted. Nevermind the fact that I downloaded it straight off the rebirth site and that it took me all BLEEPING day to download the stupid file.

Now everyone can see why I prefer browser based games because of this crap!!!!!! Yes, every single game I've tried to download and install does this same stupid crap!!!!!!!!
