First one
The Camera has a certain speed that when it captures
the image the blade is always in the same position. so its all about
the camera speed if it was a slower camera speed you would be able to
see the blade.
Tell me if any one of these hits the jackpot;
1. It's tethering from a cable or string.
2. It's a helium filled toy.
3. It's the real thing with strobe effect filming.
4. It's video editing of some kind.

Spam Another Aircraft engineer; Aventius comment is correct. For those in
doubt check out some old western movies and check the spokes of the
moving wagons. same effect. Same reason. Why do we need 1500 plus

Spam As a helicopter engineer..... this is simply a matter of camera
effects. the main rotor is rotating (because the tail rotor is... you
can't disengage the main without the tail stopping too). The camera is
shooting at a frequency (frames/second) that makes it appear that the
blades are stopped when they're actually not... think strobe effect.

Spam the camera cant show things moving that fast sometimes, therefor making
it look like its frozen. thats how. 14 years photography
