| The Quincy is a faction (archers, I think) in the manga and the anime "Bleach" by Tite Kubo.
The Quincy are supposed to have hunted the 'Hollows' (another set of creatures, mostly earth-bound spirits who have lost their sanity or something and have thus become malign) to extinction.
The eradication of the Hollows would create an imbalance that can kill the world as we see it,
so the Shinigami (or Death Gods--- two of which are portrayed in the sig that I made for Lunar and in Foxy's avatar) wiped them out for good.
Lunar's avatar is the character who is the one remaining Quincy (and one of the protagonists) in the Bleach story. | |
