everyone here has seen transformers 2 (i hope) so id imagine your familiar with the Railgun (the electronic turret on the battle ship that tore devastators right arm completely off)
as sci fi as that sounds, its very real and is being perfected at this time, the lead designers are expecting railguns to be out in force by 2025

its understandable, because they just cant figure out how to keep it cool, or prevent the electromagnetic field from making the rails blow the barrel apart
but launching a 7 lb projectile at speeds exceeding 11,000 feet per second is incredible
and just in case the tf2 bit slipped your mind, heres the clip where devastator gets his arm blown off
