Rude awakening

I was a normal teenager with not much to lose in life except to live life to the fullest. It was by chance that I stumbled upon a meteorite with markings on it. I had a feeling that within it laid a wonderful secret. The message? I was about to find out....

It has been approximately four weeks since I have discovered the meteorite and I was a few markings away from deciphering the message that has puzzled me for the past four weeks. Today may be my lucky break. The markings were almost like the Alphabet except that they were written in strange forms and shapes. Then there were markings that just looked flat out bizzare.

I was close I knew it! I was determined to find out the secret in this meteorite. Unfortunately, that was my undoing from being human anymore...for you see, the meteorite held powers that also signalled our imminent doom...

Whoah hold up. I can't call myself the guru of story knowledge but at least give some character development to the teenager. I related with him for a few seconds before that damn meteorite popped up.
